# Floor Expansion

Each ring out from your starting corner costs 25% more. This is the thing you save for.

New modules cost **$DEFUND**, and the price depends on how far the module sits from the corner you started in — counted in modules across plus modules up.

| Rings from your corner | Cost each | How many modules |
| :--------------------: | --------: | :-----------------: |
|            0           |    15,000 | 1 *(yours already)* |
|            1           |    18,750 |          2          |
|            2           |    23,438 |          3          |
|            3           |    29,297 |          4          |
|            4           |    36,621 |          5          |
|            5           |    45,776 |          4          |
|            6           |    57,220 |          3          |
|            7           |    71,526 |          2          |
|            8           |    89,407 |          1          |

Your next-door module costs **18,750**. The far corner costs **89,407**, about **4.8×** as much. Opening the whole floor comes to **995,330 $DEFUND** — roughly **10×** what your office cost, and more than any single item you can buy.

{% hint style="info" %}
Floor space is the one purchase that raises the ceiling on every other purchase. It is also the most expensive thing in the game, so treat it as what you are saving toward rather than what you buy next.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://degen-capital-1.gitbook.io/degen-capital-docs/degen-capital/the-office/floor-expansion.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `build a script that syncs our docs to a CMS` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
