# Staff

Six traders, two exclusives and five legendary hires — one seat each, one wage each.

Staff fill the seats your terminals provide. Everyone takes one seat and draws a wage in points every tick.

**Ordinary traders** are identical to each other. Their appearance is yours to choose and never affects a number.

**Legendary hires** take a seat like anyone else, but lift the whole office by a percentage and draw a much bigger wage for it. In a small office a legend loses to a plain trader. In a large one they win. Working out where your office crosses that line is the point of them.

**Exclusive traders** cost the same as an ordinary one and produce **1.5×** as much, but only 100 of each will ever exist and no fund may hold more than one. They can be traded between players.

{% hint style="info" %}
Staff have no levels, and a wage is only drawn while seated. A legend's bonus and a trader's wage are fixed numbers.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="warning" %}
Only your best legend gives its full bonus. Each additional seated legend is worth **50%** of its printed figure, so a second legend is a much smaller step than the first.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://degen-capital-1.gitbook.io/degen-capital-docs/degen-capital/the-catalogue/staff.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `build a script that syncs our docs to a CMS` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
